Fencing enhances curbside appeal and serves many purposes, including privacy, containment, landscaping, property marking, and much more. The fence itself does look great and serves as a nice addition that increases the value of your property, but what can you do to increase visual appeal?
There are many things you can try that bring your installed fence to life even more. For starters, painting is usually a popular decision. In fact, many consider using several colors in a creative way that adds excitement. Most of this will depend on where the fence is or what it is for, such as a kid’s play area, a nice outdoor dining room location, a marker for your property, a swimming pool area, and many other areas. No matter what purpose it serves, there are colors for all.
Aside from painting, you can add some landscaping creativity around the fence. For yard fences, you can landscape on the inside along the fence. For area fencing, you can landscape on both sides if on your property. Moreover, if the fence is used as a decorative enhancement, such as one or two fences somewhere on the property, you can also landscape around both sides. No matter what situation you have, the idea is to lay down some colored mulch and possibly plant flowers, bushes or decorations within the mulch to give that fence a raise in appeal.
Lastly, consider adding some hanging pots along the fence or maybe some ivy to increase beauty and décor. This little addition can make the area that much more comforting and relaxing.
No matter what enhancements you choose to make with your fence, it will surely add beauty, excitement, comfort, and enjoyment the area.
If you are looking for a more decorative style instead of the standard privacy fence you may be interested in a French Gothic Picket Fence. The stylish pickets will set your fence apart from your neighbors. The standard 2 ½” spacing between the pickets can be customized to your preference. A picket fence will set a boundary for children and fur babies while maintaining an open feel for your property.
